These were taken a few weeks ago on the Denali Highway, just before Fall hit.  You can see some reds in the second to last shot.  That's mile 96 on the Denali Highway, with the Alaska Range in the background.  That precise spot might just be my new favorite place in AK!  It was so vast and completely quiet this time of year.  Amazing!  Just went back up that way on my way back from a quick job in Fairbanks and now Fall is in full force...pics coming...

There is a land, oh it beckons and beckons, and I want to go back... and I will."

Arrive in Whitehorse June 25th 2009 for my cycling tour www.elementalfitness.blogspot.com.

That will be an adventure and a half! I look forward to following along via your blog, already have the new one bookmarked! I am itching to get back on the Yukon Quest trail, it's such a commitment of time, I really want to make it happen, though! At least some of it, if not the whole thing!

I looooove autumn in the interior. All the magic happens on the ground, it's amazing. Then there's the return of the aurora at night, tempting you to howl at the sky.

Keep the photos coming!

Very beautiful pictures!

I was going to ask your opinion of Governor Palin, but see now that I don't need to ask LOL!

I know I'm not voting for Obama, but I don't know who I will vote for either. Great to see another side of the Palin picture. I always like to see both sides before making a decision.

I'd love to visit Alaska sometime, but my DH absolutely hates the cold. I grew up with snow, but he has only lived in FL and TX ;-)
