My current petsit is in Thunderbird Heights, which means I have Thunderbird Falls literally in my backyard. I've hiked there in the winter, which was spectacular, but I've never had the chance to hike it in the fall. The trail to the lookout point is only a mile, and it's a beautiful hike through the forest with a steep cliff on one side. Then it's a muddy short hike down to the falls. Unfortunately, the trail directly next to the falls is pretty eroded and there's a barricade up, so I couldn't get too close, but it is a great scenic stroll nonetheless.

Yet another summer escaping death-by-bear. Way to go!
Joh and Lucky got into a brawl last nite. Lucky is physically fine but mentally shaken while Joh is currently getting stitches at the vet. Boy I wish Eric Jayne was still around. This is gonna run me about $275.
Coming up near here anytime soon?

Hey, Chris! That sucks about the dog fight! Glad everyone is relatively okay.
I'll be up next week for a petsit at that same place on mile 17, I'll give you a buzz and maybe we can get some non-gluten thai food!

I love those falls and the hike was awesome! I used to live in the neighborhood for three years before we had to move again this summer. *Sigh* I really want to go back.
