Cozy Dogs

In March I was the handler for a guy named Dave Dalton who ran the Yukon Quest. It's like the Iditarod, but tougher--1,000 miles+ through the Yukon and Alaska with only eight checkpoints in the whole race. At the halfway point, in Dawson City, Yukon, I was in charge of all care and feeding of the pups while Dave got much-needed rest. Believe it or not there are 16 dogs napping under all this straw!
