These guys were everywhere underfoot in the Arctic tundra. I even had one living under my tent which meant I always had to be very careful! The little one on top is a baby.
Nope, lemmings do NOT jump off cliffs...this was something a Disney photographer decided to have a helper do, when things were dull on his wildlife shoot. And now it's accepted as truth.
I work as a Wildlife Technician and sled dog handler. This takes me all over Alaska, from the Aleutians to Nome to Prudhoe Bay to Southeast. I enjoy the traveling and adventure this beautiful state has to offer!

I have heard that, too but luckily there are no cliffs on the tundra! They are certainly reckless in deciding to camp out underneath a tent!
