The great thing about Homer is that it's close enough that you can decide on the spur of the moment to go, and four hours later you're in paradise! After a long week of shoots, I took off this weekend for my favorite Alaskan destination.

Gorgeous weather and lots of bald eagles! The darker one is a juvenile.

It's ridiculously cheap to stay here in the winter-you can rent a cabin for $40! That will change next month when the tourists start coming in! Someday I hope to own a cabin here of my own!

Also tried my hand at a little panoramic shooting via an iPhone app, definitely need a bit more practice but it's fun, especially with that amazing scenery!
