Before and after!
Here are two pictures I took at the same spot by the Knik River on my way out to Wasilla. The first I took in early October, just as the ice was starting to form and the second, I took yesterday. It's the same spot as the pic taken in the previous blog entry, in November, only yesterday was a lot frostier! After living in AK almost six years, winter is still my favorite season!

An entire world opens up in the winter that is often inaccessible during the summer. Every swamp becomes a playground.
The more time spent outside in the winter the faster it goes. People who hate it should be outside more, then they'd wish it would never end.
I love winter.
