I saw this little guy today on the drive from Seward to Anchorage. My friend and former wildlife tech partner Louis started a water taxi company in Seward, and I finally had two days off in a row so I drove out to Seward to check it out. I saw moose on the drive there and back, how lucky! This is not the first time I've seen a moose kneel like this to eat, and it's really adorable! It was pouring rain but worth getting out to take a few shots. I will post yesterday's moose (three- a mom and two babies!) soon!

I love this! My deer do it, too. I miss moose.

So cool! I love how black they are: how from far away they blend into mud flats, swamps or old standing trees...

Totally, they do blend in, to be honest this guy I only saw because there were tons of cars pulled over so I knew to look!
