Now that's some snow! Are you wearing snowshoes, and do you have to carry bear spray on walks?

Actually this is a snowmobile trail that is nicely packed so no snowshoes necessary, and I would definitely carry bear spray in the summer but this time of year the only animal you'll run into are moose. Apparently bear spray doesn't seem to affect them, unfortunately. You just gotta keep your eyes peeled for 'em.

Hey Laura,
I'm still working in mortgages and my boss has some connections in Ecuador and we are setting up a call center there for Spanish borrowers in the USA (because it's much cheaper then here). So he told my team manager to head down there - he speaks fluent Spanish - and also gave him the go ahead to bring two other people with him, and he chose me and another guy - all expenses paid, so I'm going to be in Guayaquil, Ecuador from Jan 5-12th. Our job is to meet up with some people down there and find some potential office space to rent for a few months. It will be mostly work related, but we will be there a full week so there will be plenty of downtime. Should be fun.
