Unfortunately I have been unable to "borrow" wireless internet from Chignik, so it looks like blogging will be on hold for at least a month unless I can crack the code. Chignik is beautiful and dramatic, with huge vertical mountains surrounding it. I have a great apartment to myself with a living room, bedroom, cable tv and my own bathroom, which is a big deal around here. My boss has a beautiful Black Lab/Akita mix that I can "borrow" for walks any time I want to, and today I made it out to the first test fishery, which was about a 45 minute skiff ride to Chignik Lagoon. So the summer is starting out well. Hope yours is, too! Check back in a month or so!

About Me

I work as a Wildlife Technician and sled dog handler. This takes me all over Alaska, from the Aleutians to Nome to Prudhoe Bay to Southeast. I enjoy the traveling and adventure this beautiful state has to offer!
