Obviously they have to shovel their roofs off. All that snow and the homes don't have much on top.
I love high snow banks, makes it feel like living in a land of secret worlds, connected by tunnels.

That's a good way of putting it! I agree about the tunnels!

What are you doing in Valdez? Tell us more! BTW, it was 80+ in So Cal this weekend.

That's just too hot for me! I was working on a feature film that came to town and was filming a sequence in Valdez but it got cancelled! It was still a nice trip to Valdez, though!

The snow is so beautiful and peaceful. I hope the town of Valdez is longer than the 2 blocks it had when I was there. Our pipeline camp had quonset huts and a mess hall. Period. Sorry to hear the shoot was cancelled. They'll be another. Alaska's a great place to shoot. Few distractions.
Much Love,
Glenn

Nope, the town is still exactly two blocks long...I will post a pic of it soon. And during the winter it is a complete ghost town, quite different than the bustling tourist destination it becomes during the summer! Well, even with huts and a mess hall, you have the spectacular views everywhere you turn! And I bet fun people, as well!
