I've been busy, as is the case every year when Spring finally comes to Alaska. Shot a promo for a new Lifetime show last week, it was a lot of fun, something I don't do too often! This was the space before we moved in. I'm in the red jacket. It's an old National Guard Armory, very cool location. There's even a firing range inside.
We needed a four-wheel-drive forklift, as there will still snow on the ground, believe it or not.
We used a new craft service company in town, they went the extra mile, the woman looked great!
Zak got an Assistant Camera position on it, so that was good that they hired a local for that. Here he is with the jib.
And I got the star's flowers when she left them there!

Pt. Woronzof is a beautiful place in Anchorage to watch the sun set. I just happened to catch it tonight while on a scout. It really looked like a lit candle. Pretty cool!

Here is a photo that the Nat. Geo photographer Kadir van Lohuizen took of me and his Dutch documentary crew. We were trying to stay out his way as he shot from an old Otter plane that we flew out to the Colville Delta. It was a very cool plane!

Homer again!

The great thing about Homer is that it's close enough that you can decide on the spur of the moment to go, and four hours later you're in paradise! After a long week of shoots, I took off this weekend for my favorite Alaskan destination. Gorgeous weather and lots of bald eagles! The darker one is a juvenile. It's ridiculously cheap to stay here in the winter-you can rent a cabin for $40! That will change next month when the tourists start coming in! Someday I hope to own a cabin here of my own!
Also tried my hand at a little panoramic shooting via an iPhone app, definitely need a bit more practice but it's fun, especially with that amazing scenery!
