Since I have to take care of dogs over Christmas, I took an early vacation over the weekend to my favorite place in all of Alaska, which is Homer.  And specifically to my favorite place in Homer, Seaside Farms.  You can rent a cabin there for next to nothing and it's a real working farm.  I always bring a bag of carrots for the horses.  Here are some of the residents of Seaside Farms, and a closer look at Kachemak Bay.  The farm is run by a great woman named Mossy Kilcher, who is actually the singer Jewel's aunt.  All in a all, a wonderful place to spend a few days!

The sunsets are early, but still beautiful these days.  This pic was taken along Turnagain Arm, looking out at Cook Inlet, which is minutes from Anchorage.  I love all the ice chunks.

Not much to write about on a snowy Sunday, but I do have a beautiful view out my back door these days, out at Nancy Lake...
